This event is the eighth in a series called Black In Business that aims to highlight and support Black entrepreneurs and aspiring business leaders. With HERstory, we invite everyone to join in celebrating Black Women role models and to enjoy women-led and focused discussions.
Meet our Speakers:
This dynamic team of women entrepreneurs are drawing from a collective wealth of business experience and a shared passion for supporting women of color businesses. Come listen to their stories of how they have worked towards, successfully navigated, and sustained their own businesses.
This discussion will be led by Justina Perry, founder of BuyBlackNB, and Rayana Grace, Board of New Bedford Historical Society.

As a celebration of Black History Month, we kicked off our "Black in Business" series by meeting some amazing women who are making history here in our communities: Samia Walker, Celia Brito and Tanya Alves of Celia's Boutique, Lori Gomes of Beauty Union, and Iva Brito.
This event was the first in a series of events that aims to highlight and support Black entrepreneurs and aspiring business leaders. With HERstory, we invite everyone to join in celebrating Black Women role models and to enjoy women-led and focused discussions. On Saturday, December 4th, we will transform 752 Purchase Street during the annual dNB Holiday Stroll, with the arrival of the The BuyBlack NB 2021 Holiday Mini Market. The Mini Market, which showcases 8 local, small businesses, will also feature Black Santa and live music.
BuyBlackNB joins dNB Inc. in kicking off the holiday season, and spreading cheer throughout downtown New Bedford!
